Lessons

Dana Smith Show Team, Inc. offers private and semi-private lessons on your horse or ours. Our Lesson Program offers  a variety of school horses for Beginners through Advanced Riders in Western, English, Trail Riding, Equitation/Hunter or Jumping for young Children and Adults.

Our Lesson Program is designed for you to ride our school horses.

We have several that you will come to enjoy and truly benefit from the variety of school horses offered. Of course, your own horse is welcome, too. In the beginning of your lesson program, we will mostly concentrate on your riding time.

Grooms will have your horse tacked for you upon arrival.  You will learn balance at each gate of the horse. Each rider learns to guide the horse through several different transitions and maneuvers. We will offer you guidance on stable rules and arena etiquette.

If desired, as you progress, you can start your lesson by learning to prepare the horse for riding.  Once that is learned, you can progress on for caring for the horse after the ride. The more you come the more there is to learn!

Riding Camps, Lease Horses and Trail Rides are available.

All ages and all levels of riders

are welcome at our facility.

Each rider or rider’s parent/guardian will be required to sign a Hold Harmless Release.

Please feel free to call or email us for more information on lessons.
